Stories of Erondell
Stories of Erondell is a collection of four shorts that all tell of the same event from different perspectives.
I started writing this story because I wanted to tell a story from two different points of view. The two original characters, Olivia and Patricia, came to my mind immediately, as well as the storyworld and problem. I had the opportunity to workshop those two shorts in a writing class I took, which really helped me improve the clarity of the story and the sympathy readers would have for Olivia and Patricia.
After that workshop, I knew this story still wasn’t complete. Later, I added Rogan and Patrick to the fold.
What started out as an experiment in two different perspectices turned into a mediation on right and wrong, good and evil, terrorism, and compassion.
What does it take to create change? What is the defining moment when change for the better occurs? In this series of shorts, we hear from Olivia, Patricia, Rogan, and Patrick as they describe the events of the Second Thursday of May in the dystopian metropolis of Erondell. The events and its aftermath are big, but they come to realize that change truly happens in the smallest of moments.
I do hope you’ll read Stories of Erondell. I’m really proud of how it turned out and am excited that it’s now out there in the world.
Don't forget to leave a review on Amazon or iTunes. :) I’m always glad to hear feedback of my work.
